A plain-language summary of what ShipMarket stores and why.

Who this page is for

This page is maintained by the ShipMarket team to explain how the marketplace handles your information. It describes what the app does today and is not an independent audit or certification.

What we collect

Account details you give us (email, name, and optional phone, city, bio and avatar link), the listings you post, the orders you place or deliver, delivery addresses, chat messages tied to an order, and your app preferences such as theme and beta toggles.

How we use it

Your data is used to run the marketplace: showing listings, processing orders, letting a driver find and complete a delivery, calculating the 15% driver fee and seller payout, and keeping your account secure.

What other people can see

Listings you publish are public, including title, description, price, photo link and pickup city. Your delivery address is shared only with the seller and the driver handling that order. Order chats are visible only to the buyer, seller and assigned driver.

Storage and access control

Data is stored in the app's managed database. Access rules are enforced per row, so signed-in users can read only their own account data plus the orders and chats they take part in.

Third parties

We use hosting and database infrastructure to run the app, and an optional Google sign-in if you choose it. We do not sell your personal data.

Retention and deletion

Order and listing records are kept while your account is active so both sides of a trade have a history. You can ask for your account and personal data to be deleted using the support address shown in your dashboard.

Your choices

You can edit or clear your profile fields at any time in the dashboard, change theme and beta preferences, and turn email notifications off.
